Mobile Optimizations Lead to 159.97% Increase in Revenue for Murphy Door

Murphy Door sells high-quality, custom doors online and, like many e-commerce brands, continues to see an increase in mobile visits to their website. Because these type of visits weren’t driving as many sales as desktop visits, the Hanapin team jumped in to figure out a solution on how to get more conversions for the company.

 

Because Murphy Door’s products are highly customized, they have two priority conversion points – either completed sales through the website or phone calls.

 

The Solution

 

Our conversion rate optimization team performed an analysis on the Murphy Door mobile site and, based on best practices, concluded that changing the header that appeared on the mobile site could help increase phone calls.

 

Our team recommended testing the removal of the “Login” and “Cart” links and icons from the mobile header and leaving only the phone number. They also recommended increasing the size of the phone number and making it darker in color to stand out.

 

The Results

 

In three weeks of running the test, Murphy Door saw a 146.89% increase in e-commerce conversion rate – with 144.44% more transactions. The client also had a 159.97% increase in revenue and a 20.51% increase in phone calls from mobile traffic.
