  1. Hanapin is a team-oriented company. We’re a group of coworkers who support one another and are invested in the success of both the company and each other as individuals. If your workload is unmanageable one week, you can expect a team member will offer to help. If your dog needs walked while you’re out of town one day, we help each other outside of the office as well!
  2. We’re a small company without much bureaucracy. Hanapin is an open and supportive environment where we regularly share and propose new ideas. Whether it’s an idea for a client or for the company—we are always looking for new ways to improve our processes and policies. There are no appointments necessary to chat with the CEO. He works 10 feet away from the rest of us.

We send our employees to industry conference and provide more than 100 hours of on-going annual training to each of our employees.
  4. We’re also invested in team growth. Once a month we turn the phones off and dedicate a full day to advanced topic research and implementation sessions. This allows us to collaborate with team members on advanced search marketing topics, which we can then bring to our client work. The entire team researches best practices in the morning, then we have a group lunch, followed by presentations and discussions in the afternoon
  5. This is a fun and casual office! From how we dress to how we interact, we’re a group of laid-back individuals who actually like one another. Unless you’re meeting with a client, you can wear jeans any day you’d like. Happy Hours are not uncommon for the Hanapin team and Bloomington has some of the best watering holes around.
  6. We’re a smart and dedicated team, but we have lives outside of the office. We celebrate the Summer sun with early hours on Friday— the office closes at 3:00pm. We’re also given a Birthday Holiday! There are times we have to work extra to get the job done, but we also know when to take personal time needed.

  8. There is no micro managing at Hanapin. You will be given the responsibility to determine your to-dos and your daily schedule. Each Monday, we have a staff meeting to run through what we are working on that week, and after that, the week is yours to get done what you need to do. As an Account Executive, you’ll report to our Account Supervisors, and all search marketers are part of a team that collaborates with one another, as opposed to dictates to one another.
  9. Unsure about your skills? No worries! Hanapin has an extensive 12-week training program that will fill you in on all you need to know. You’ll spend about an hour a day in training with a team member where you will learn skills that will inform projects you will be assigned. At the end of training you’ll take the industry certification exams and begin work on clients of your own.
  10. This is a niche area of marketing where there is always a lot to learn and new tactics to try. There is no monotony in our job and we manage a wide range of clients. From revenue to budgets and industries, we work with a variety, which keeps thing interesting.
  11. We’re financially stable & growing! We’ve achieved no less than double-digit annual growth for the past 7 years (since we founded). We have zero debt and have been profitable since day one. We’re expanding our force and hiring more team members, but we’re being smart about it. We’ve never reduced staff because of financial purposes.
  12. Are you interested in teaching? Hanapin offers public courses on SEO & PPC. As a team member you’ll be given an opportunity to participate and perhaps even teach a course of your own. Many of our team members also guest lecture for a variety of Indiana University and Ivy Tech classes.
  13. We're moving on up! In order to make room for our new (and future) employees, we have moved to a new facility. We are in the tech district of downtown Bloomington. We have an open floor plan with no cubes and skylights!
