Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Sales Representative

Hanapin Marketing is an award-winning and fast-growing Internet marketing company, located in Bloomington, Indiana. We have an open position for a SEM Sales Representative to grow the company's client base, as well as to up-sell and cross-sell our existing clients. Experience with a SEM company is helpful but not required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Hanapin Marketing is seeking a confident, dynamic, self-motivated, and personable individual to join our team as a SEM Sales Representative. We are looking for someone to help us build lasting relationships with clients, not to make high-pressure sale pitches. Success for this role will be measured in terms of your ability to generate leads, to convert those leads to clients, to generate revenue, and to achieve sales goals. The position will require some travel. This is an excellent opportunity for salesperson to make a significant contribution to a fast-growing company.

The successful candidate will work with our CEO to refine our sales processes and manage our sales pipeline, and will:

  • Understand Hanapin Marketing’s SEM services and demonstrate their value to prospective clients
  • Identify prospective clients, generate leads though telephone, email, and in-person contact, and convert leads to sales
  • Diversify our client base and increase the average revenue per client
  • Follow-up on leads from inbound sources
  • Cultivate referral sources
  • Create written proposals for prospective clients
  • Source and respond to RFP’s
  • Up-sell and cross-sell existing clients
  • Achieve sales quotas

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Internet sales or marketing background preferred, but not required
  • Minimum of two years of sales experience, with B2B sales experience preferred
  • Desire to keep abreast of changes in the fast-evolving world of SEM
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to "think on your feet"
  • Ability to easily toggle between working independently and with others
  • Ability to get along with the other Hanapin team members
