Junior Account Manager

Hanapin Marketing is an award-winning and fast-growing Internet marketing company, located in Bloomington, Indiana. We have four open positions for Junior Account Managers, who will work in a support role for our Senior Account Managers. On behalf of our clients, our Senior Account Managers will assign daily tasks to you for both search engine optimization and pay per click advertising. We have a two-week training program for this position, so while experience is helpful, it's not necessary to apply.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Run reports and compile stats (SEO & PPC) - You'll generate reports from Google, Yahoo, and Bing for both for SEO and PPC. Some reports are standard and will run directly from the search engine interfaces or other software programs, while some will be custom and manually created by you.
- Write ads (PPC) - You'll write ads for our clients, which are the listings on the top and right-hand sides of the search engine results pages (SERPs) to increase their effectiveness and the amount of traffic we generate.
- Research keywords (SEO & PPC) - You'll research and select keywords that we'll target for our clients. Keywords are what searchers type into the search engines, and you'll be responsible for finding keywords that are relevant and will generate quality traffic.
- Manage bids and budgets (PPC) - Each PPC client has a monthly budget, and you'll update bids (which help determine rankings) and manage daily budgets.
- Writing website articles (SEO) - A big part of SEO is writing new content. Search engines like to see new and regularly updated content, and you'll write periodic article or blog posts for our clients.
- General support/admin (SEO & PPC) - The search engine industry is always changing and every client has custom needs! At the direction of Senior Account Managers, you'll be assigned various tasks that will help them do a better job for our clients.
PERIODIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Writing blog posts for SEO Boy and PPC Hero - Hanapin has two industry-related blogs, and you'll be responsible for co-authoring blog posts.
- Sending client requests to our developers for web design - You'll be responsible for filtering client requests, sending them to our developers to implement, and reporting to our Senior Account Managers on the status of those requests.
- Writing rough drafts of client proposals - You'll occasionally be called on to write rough drafts of proposals for prospective clients. While all client engagements are custom, we use an outline/framework to build their program, and you'll edit existing copy and write new copy to tailor our proposals accordingly.
- Helping recruit new staff - We involve our entire team in finding new team members. It's important that we have a cohesive team, and that you'll review initial applications and do telephone screens to make sure we're adding the right folks to our staff.
REQUIREMENTS
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree
- Ability to work 40-45 hours on site at our Bloomington offices
- Ability to put in extra time at nights and on weekends
- Willingness to share others work load at critical times
- Desire to continually learn and gain new skills
- Passion for the Internet and an understanding of how the web works
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to write clearly, concisely, and creatively
- Comfortable multi-tasking and switching gears quickly while maintaining a positive attitude
