Pat East is founder of Hanapin Marketing, a marketing firm specializing in web design and search engine marketing. Hanapin won the 2007 growth award for Innovative Business of the Year. Pat is active in the Bloomington community, volunteering with the Chamber of Commerce and offering pro-bono web design for the Red Cross. He sits on an advisory board for Irwin Union and is an adjunct professor at Indiana University. Pat is actively involved with his alma mater, Wabash College, serving as Class Agent and co-chairing Wabash Day, a national day of volunteerism. He and his wife, Jamie, have one son.

Jenny Anderson, Search Marketing Consultant

Jenny Anderson is a Search Marketing Consultant at Hanapin Marketing. Jenny attended DePauw University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts with a double major of Political Science and Studio Art. She then earned her Master's Degree in Arts Administration from Indiana University's School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Before working at Hanapin, Jenny held a marketing internship with IU's Kelley Center for Retail Management. She was placed with a local nonprofit where she led a rebranding campaign that included a redesign of the organization's logo and all print material. She also gained experience in marketing and public affairs as an intern for the Indianapolis Museum of Art. In this position, Jenny worked extensively in e-communications. She also served as a member of Web Team and a writer for the blog.

Jen Barrett, Search Marketing Consultant

Jen Barrett is a Search Marketing Consultant at Hanapin Marketing. After spending most of her childhood in Colorado, Jen attended the University of Colorado, Boulder, and transferred to Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Management and Marketing. Prior to working at Hanapin, Jen was the assistant buyer for Scrubs & Beyond in St. Louis. After creating the company's first email marketing plan, Jen realized her passion for Internet marketing, and moved from buying to the newly created Internet department. In this role, along with managing the website, Jen handled the company's SEO, PPC, and email campaigns, as well as lead the launch of a brand new website in 2008.

Rey Lane, Lead Developer

Rey Lane is the lead developer at Hanapin Marketing. He is based in the Philippines and is primarily responsible for managing Hanapin's Philippine team of web developers and graphic designers. He also performs other tasks such as project scoping, development of new service offerings, assisting in proposal formulation, and user training. Rey has over 15 years of experience in the field of web development and has worked on projects for more than 50 of the Global Top 1000 companies. Ever the entrepreneur, Rey has established three web / software development companies. He is also a director at the family-owned real estate development and furniture manufacturing / export companies. Prior to entering the web development industry, Rey owned and managed a chain of 4 internet cafes and also taught English at a private Filipino-Chinese school. Rey is married and has 2 children.

Dan Lash, Search Marketing Consultant

Dan Lash is a Search Marketing Consultant at Hanapin Marketing. Dan is an Indiana native and attended Indiana University earning a Bachelors Degree of Science in Informatics. Prior to working for Hanapin, Dan spent two and a half years as a Technology Specialist. During this time, he developed, launched and maintained a corporate website. He also oversaw all marketing efforts and designed new print advertising campaigns, to match the website. With an extensive background in web development, Dan adds a unique perspective to SEO and PPC. When off the clock, Dan enjoys running and has participated in several mini marathons with plenty more to come!

Samyukta Markley, Search Marketing Consultant

Samyukta Markley is a Search Marketing Consultant at Hanapin Marketing. Samyukta attended Washington University in St. Louis, with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Business Administration, with majors in Marketing and International Business. Prior to working at Hanapin, she was an Account Executive at an advertising agency in Chicago, where she worked with regional and national food and beverage accounts. While there she gained valuable experience with brand strategy, marketing program development, web development and project management. In her spare time Samyukta loves to cook and enjoys yoga and pilates.

Steve Miller, Executive Vice President and General Counsel

Steve has many years of experience in executive management. He served as General Counsel and Executive VP of Pinnacle Asset Management, where he negotiated investments of over $5M in seven portfolio companies. He also served as CFO for ResiteIT during its periods of high growth and acquisition. Steve holds a BS from Purdue University and a JD and MBA from Indiana University. He is also an advisor to CheddarGetter, a wholly owned subsidiary of SproutBox.

Jessica Niver, Senior Search Marketing Consultant

Jessica Niver is a Search Marketing Consultant at Hanapin Marketing. She was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona where she attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Jessica interned at a wildlife rehabilitation center where she gained experience researching and writing for all ages of the public and professionals in the field and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology. Jessica brings a dynamic personality to the group and is very enthusiastic about getting her feet wet in the world of search engine marketing. She is an active social networker and maintains a photo blog of her animal photography.

Erin Sellnow is a Search Marketing Consultant at Hanapin Marketing. Originally from the Minneapolis area, Erin spent her time exploring the city but also enjoyed escaping to the many parks and lakes of Minnesota. Erin attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and minors in Global Business and Spanish. Prior to starting her career in the advertising industry Erin also attended Brainco, an advertising portfolio school, where she trained in Account Service. Before working at Hanapin, Erin was an Account Manager at Preston Kelly Advertising in Minneapolis managing clients such as the Mall of America, Johnsonville Sausage, Minnesota Zoo, and National Marrow Donor Program. Through strategic planning, brand positioning, campaign execution, website development and online marketing, Erin helped clients grow their business and achieve results.

Amber Speer is a Senior Search Marketing Consultant at Hanapin Marketing. Amber's primary role at Hanapin is managing pay per click and search engine optimization campaigns for a wide range of clients. She also writes for PPC Hero, Hanapin's blog on the pay per click industry. Amber attended IUPUI (Indiana University-Purdue University of Indianapolis) and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in New Media and a Certificate in Computer Science. She interned with the Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida and also worked a temporary position at MTV in New York City where she gained extensive knowledge on the web, design, and marketing. Amber also gained experience at the Finish Line Corporate Headquarters in Indianapolis as their online marketing specialist. As a Search Marketing Consultant at Hanapin, Amber manages PPC and SEO accounts and also writes for PPC Hero and SEO Boy, Hanapin's blogs.
