Pat East, President and CEO

Pat East has 15 years experience in online marketing, sales management, and executive leadership. His professional experience spans B2C and B2B and includes management positions during the hyper-growth years of Author Solutions (2000-2004) and his current role as president and CEO of Hanapin Marketing (since 2004). In various positions for Author Solutions, he was responsible for author promotions, product development, and corporate marketing including lead generation (paid search and direct mail) and one-to-one customer communication. As head of Hanapin Marketing, he has overseen seven consecutive years of profitability and double-digit revenue growth. He teaches one of the nation's only search marketing courses at a nationally ranked SLIS program (school of library and information science) at Indiana University. Recently, he received the Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Small Business Development Center. He is an avid angel investor, advising startups with high-growth potential in the web/tech industries. He has a B.A. in English from Wabash College, where he sits on the National Alumni Board.

 

 
Jamie East

Jamie East is co-founder of Hanapin Marketing and Tingian Ventures. A life-long Hoosier, Jamie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Indiana University. She has worked in various industries, from radio broadcasting to publishing. Jamie oversees the accounting and administration of Hanapin. When not at the office, Jamie enjoys spending time with her husband and son.

She also manages Hanapin's industry award winning blog, PPC Hero, increasing traffic by 78% since taking over this role.

Robert Boyd

For nearly two years, Rob has worked on growing revenue for many of Hanapin’s highest spending PPC clients.  As an Account Executive, Rob worked with client spend levels of up to $250,000 per month while focusing on increasing sales volume and maximizing efficiency of PPC budgets. He led internal Account Teams for a multi-national enterprise level medical device company and managed a team conducting a restructure of Canada’s largest AdWords campaign, containing several million keywords. As an Account Supervisor, Rob is focused on leading strategy and ensuring performance and satisfaction on all of Hanapin’s client accounts. Prior to joining Hanapin, Rob worked in Sales and Consulting for technology companies, including a top 250 Internet Retailer with over 50MM in online sales. Rey Lane

Rey Lane, Lead Developer

Rey Lane is the lead developer at Hanapin Marketing. He is based in the Philippines and is primarily responsible for managing Hanapin's Philippine team of web developers and graphic designers. He also performs other tasks such as project scoping, development of new service offerings, assisting in proposal formulation, and user training. Rey has over 15 years of experience in the field of web design and development, and has worked on projects for more than 50 of the Global Top 1000 companies. Rey is married and has 3 children.

During his time at Hanapin, he has helped to develop the account structure of one of Canada’s largest Internet resellers.  Sean has also worked to establish a client’s brand in the marketplace where it didn’t exist before.  During his time on the account he has focused on reaching new audiences that weren’t aware of the client’s brand beforehand, while also generating leads at a profitable cost.  He worked in supply chain management on an account team for a Fortune 500 client prior to coming aboard Hanapin.

Dave is currently working as the lead strategist for Kijiji that, which is the largest AdWords account in Canada. His experience here involves devising industry-specific objectives for each account, including the generation, structuring and organization of roughly 5 million keywords from an assortment of industries. Dave also has considerable experience managing large-scale budgets for clients. Previously, he was involved with a client who averaged $250,000 in monthly spend. She leads Hanapin’s second largest spend account, an enterprise level education company, whose PPC campaign involves multiple accounts with a combined monthly budget that trends at $150,000.  She reduced CPL for one of these accounts by 23% in three months and by 38% in one month for another. Abby is also part of other Hanapin client teams across several industries including Education, Publishing, and Ecommerce. For one of her publishing brands, she achieved a 150% increase in click-through rate and helped the client increase closed conversions by 89% in a three-month period. Additionally, Abby presented Hanapin’s first-ever webinar in November, tackling the difficult and elusive Quality Score metric and how to increase Quality Score through effective account structure.
